Google Play Data Safety & GDPR Right to Erasure Statutory Resource

1. Complete Data Sovereignty

In full compliance with Google Play Developer Policy and global privacy regulations (GDPR Art. 17 and CCPA), Promise provides users with absolute control over their digital footprint. You may delete your account and associated data either directly within the mobile application or through this public web portal without needing access to your mobile device.

2. What Happens When You Request Deletion

When an account deletion request is processed:

  • Cloud Identity: Your unique user identifier (UID) and authentication linkage are permanently deleted.
  • Handle Reservation: Your public username handle (@handle) is released from our global unique registry.
  • Witness Records: Your signatures on ally pacts and squad boards are anonymized or retired.
  • Encrypted Backups: All encrypted cloud backups stored in our secure storage are permanently shredded.
  • Local Device Storage: If you perform in-app deletion, local device data is wiped immediately. If you submit a web request, local data stored on your physical phone is cleared when you uninstall the app or clear app data in your phone's OS settings.

3. Method A: Instant In-App Deletion (Recommended)

If you currently have the Promise application installed on your device, in-app deletion is instant and requires zero waiting:

  1. Open the Promise app.
  2. Tap the Menu icon → Settings → Privacy & Security.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account & Data.
  4. Confirm with biometric authentication or your master passcode.

All cloud records and handle registrations are purged from our live Firestore clusters in real time.

4. Method B: Web-Based Deletion Request Form

If you have uninstalled the app or lost your device, use this statutory web form to initiate an automated server-side purge:

Please enter the email address or username handle associated with your Promise account. Our deletion engine will verify and purge all matching records within 48 hours.

Deletion Request Received: Your request (Ref: #DEL-) has been scheduled. All cloud data, handle bindings, and backup archives associated with this identifier will be completely purged within 48 hours.
